You’re in Good Hands With Dr. Stroumpos
Here at Texas All Smiles, we’ll do everything we can to save your tooth before taking serious measures. However, in some cases, a surgical procedure is the last resort to restore your oral health and get you back on track.
Learn about our oral surgery procedures and why you can trust Dr. Stroumpos and his staff for high-quality, expert care.
Gentle Tooth Extractions
Sometimes, an extraction is necessary to prevent overcrowding or if a patient has a severely damaged, decayed, or impacted tooth. It may sound intimidating, but the procedure can be completed in a single visit with little to no pain. We’ll be with you every step of the way to ensure you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the procedure.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Wisdom tooth removal is one of the most common surgical extractions, performed when the third set of molars begin to grow in. Many patients choose to remove their wisdom teeth to prevent infection, crowding, and other dental complications. During the procedure, we’ll provide you with dental sedation or anesthesia to relieve any discomfort you may experience.
Soft Tissue Grafting
Our practice uses soft tissue grafting to restore the gum line and improve the overall appearance of your smile. We use a biocompatible grafting material to protect the tooth’s surface, eliminating a ‘toothy’ smile and correcting dental symmetry.
Post-Op for Oral Surgery
The days, and sometimes weeks, after oral surgery are a crucial part of the recovery process. We’ll provide you with post-op instructions to promote healing and reduce the risk of possible complications. With proper care, most patients experience a complication-free recovery and can return to work or school within one to two days after surgery.
After your procedure, you may be given a prescription-strength painkiller for the first day or two. However, most patients find that an over-the-counter reliever, like ibuprofen, is enough to relieve discomfort after the initial recovery period. Pain typically becomes less and less noticeable by the day, completely subsiding within one to two weeks.
